Re: Graphnote Style
I'm currently using the Graphnote style for a 'Quicknotes' feature; it's a very clean style that I haven't muddied up yet with a lot of extra tags. It has no navigation features other than a 'back' button. I felt this would make a nice page for use with an informal font and sketches or technical illustrations.
For a simple look, this design was surprisingly difficult to implement: three different images are combined to form the whole. The challenge is to get the binder rings and the squares to line up after expanding the height to accomodate varying content. I put this before a forum of advanced users and got nada. To top it off it worked fine in Internet Explorer and broke in Firefox--it's supposed to be the other way around. Live and learn I guess.
The left column was actually supposed to contain a block of multiple site links and I have designed and tested a working version. For my purposes it was not necessary to use that feature.
